The Santa Maria Style BBQ has evolved over the years to be one of the most tantalizing menus in California. When driving down the main streets of Santa Maria you can’t help but smell the appetizing aroma emitting from nearly every street corner in town. ‘Q IT UP! Catering is honored to bring this tradition to the Midwest by providing this unique attraction to your events. Traditionally, our signature main dishes are prepared on-site at your event beginning with an aromatic hardwood fire. As the fire reaches its peak, fresh salsa vegetables are placed on the grill to initiate the fire-roasted salsa recipe. When the coals are ready, specially seasoned meats are positioned for a 2-3 hour cook time. See web site for more.

We wanted to make our last open house really special….and Q It Up did not disappoint! Mike rolled in with the grill and went straight to work. All of our guests couldn’t stop talking about the Tri-tip, potato salad, specialty beans ….but the chicken was ridiculous. I lost track of how many friends said it was the best chicken they have ever had. From start to finish, it was all easy communication and a great experience. Thank you for making our big event so memorable.

So many compliments on the food at our wedding last weekend! I went to several public tasting events before the big day, and was never disappointed. Arrived on time, food was hot, and communication with the owner was always easy.

We just had Q It Up cater our company picnic and everything from start to finish was perfection. The communication with the owner, Bryan was top tier and the food speaks for itself. Amazing smell and taste. All that attended were super impressed. We will 100% be repeat customers!

Bryan has been great to work with. Prompt with replies and quality service! Mike was early (on time) and ready to go. The food was delicious 😋. Everyone that attended raved over the chicken mmm mmm. Thank you for catering for our work event!

My wife, daughter and I went here to taste food for our wedding, the staff was all very welcoming and Bryan (the owner) was very friendly and helpful. This was just a tasting and we still ate until we were full. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend the beef tri-tip sirloin, boneless chicken thighs, bbq beans, sweet bacon bowtie pasta salad and the sweet pea pasta salad! Update: We had Q It Up cater our wedding reception they did a phenomenal job. Food was delicious and hot at the exact time we were ready to eat. Our food selection was Beef Tri-tip Sirloin, Boneless Chicken Thighs, BBQ Beans, Cheesy Potatoes, and Greek Pasta Salad.
